This Privacy Policy describes how InspectLog, an application developed and published by Advanta Apps, handles user data.
Overview
InspectLog is designed to respect user privacy. The basic inspection features do not require users to create an account and do not collect personal data for tracking or advertising purposes. Some limited data may be processed to provide optional features such as subscriptions, AI-assisted tools, or user support, as described below.
Authentication and Account Data
While core features of InspectLog are available without an account, certain premium features and AI-assisted tools require authentication to manage usage quotas and subscription access. If you choose to authenticate using third-party services like "Sign in with Apple," we receive a unique, anonymized identifier. We use this identifier solely to securely link your device to your subscription status and to track available AI feature limits. We do not use this authentication data to track you across other apps or services.
Data Storage
All project data, including projects, issues, notes, and photos, is stored locally on the user’s device.
Advanta Apps does not have access to this data and does not store it on external servers.
Data Collection
InspectLog does not collect, transmit, or sell personal data for analytics, advertising, or tracking purposes.
The app does not use third-party analytics SDKs, tracking technologies, or advertising services.
AI-Assisted Features
InspectLog may offer optional AI-assisted features, such as generating or improving notes, when explicitly initiated by the user.
When an AI-assisted feature is used, the relevant text content is securely transmitted to a third-party AI service solely for the purpose of generating the requested output.
Advanta Apps does not use this content for advertising, analytics, or tracking purposes, and does not associate it with user identities.
AI-assisted features are optional and are only activated by the user.
Advanta Apps does not retain this content after processing, except as required for temporary processing or service reliability.
Purchases and Subscriptions
InspectLog offers optional paid features via subscriptions. All purchases and subscription management are handled securely by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Advanta Apps does not receive or store users’ payment details. Limited purchase-related identifiers (such as anonymous subscription or entitlement identifiers) may be processed to manage access to subscription features.
Subscription availability and pricing may vary by region and are subject to the terms of the respective app store.
User-Initiated Actions
If a user chooses to contact support by email, the information included in that communication (such as email address and message content) is used only to respond to the support request.
Device Permissions
InspectLog may request access to the following device features:
• Camera – to capture photos for inspection reports
• Photo Library – to attach existing images to projects
These permissions are used only for their stated purpose and are optional.
Data Deletion
Since your inspection data is stored locally, simply uninstalling the app deletes that data. To request the deletion of anonymous identifiers associated with subscription entitlements or service diagnostics, please contact support@advantaapps.com.au.
When making a request, please include:
The app name (InspectLog)
The device platform (Android or iOS)
The approximate date the app was first used
We will delete applicable server-side data associated with the request within a reasonable timeframe.
Children’s Privacy
InspectLog is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page.
